It seems strange to write on something that has happened almost a century ago. The Titanic story is "one of the most amazing, poignant, thought-provoking and absorbing tales of the last century" – Lord Browne. 94 years have passed since THE UNSINKABLE sank into the Atlantic. I feel I want to say a lot but am short of words that could convey what I am feeling.
To begin with, I watched TITANIC (Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet) for the first time yesterday night. I know its strange I have not watched it since its release but well, that's the truth. Since childhood (don't worry, I am just a teenager), I have been fascinated with the stories of this wonderful HUGE ship. I went about looking for every bit of literature that could tell me about it.
Since most of us prefer viewing rather than reading, watching TITANIC has been an eye-opener. Not only does it portray the truth the way it happened, but goes on to show what is HUMAN EXPRESSION. The power that lies beneath it. I wonder how James Cameron (the director) had visualized the entire concept. You can't but just watch astoundedly the movie, completely immersed in its storyline and are engulfed in the sea of emotions of Rose (Kate Winslet). You feel like every survivor must have felt and also of those who did not.
I would first go for the historic part. The TITANIC in all its majesty was not only a ship but a strong proof of what power man was gaining through his exploits in technology. It was a living legend of how man had begun to strengthen himself comparing himself with NATURE's hands. And it was the biggest, costliest and most comfortable means of travel ever developed. It was a BEHEMOTH of SHIPS.

The Harland & Wolf shipyards of Belfast constructed it in three years and launched it on May 31, 1911. And it sailed from Belfast Louh carrying with it the feeling of victory and pride over creating THE UNSINKABLE. However, with some 2,228 passengers on board, it struck an ice-berg on the morning of April 15, 1912 at 2:30 AM in the morning. The ship had only 20 lifeboats and sadly, only 705 passengers survived.
TITANIC — the film. I am short of words to talk about this love story par excellence. It aptly signifies how selfish people have grown today when we compare our lives with that of the film. It is not a very FILMY story 'cause LOVE is the eternal truth of we humans. Only we are not able to understand it. Love for life, for the gift it is to us, our family, friends and of course, your love. I won't try to explain it because anything related to the heart can only be FELT and not PHILOSOPHISED.
I would say only one thing. Try to live your life as if every moment is the most precious. Express and feel the love of everybody who is in your life. Titanic — the film is just how HUMAN THOUGHT FOUND EXPRESSION.
The number of Titanic aficionados is growing and will continue to build till mankind exist.
>>> Goodbye, as I am lost in the bliss I am feeling after watching the movie..
